Jackson Shinholster was nominated and accepted into the 2023 Dream Basketball Classic. He was one of the standouts in the 4th grade division of the Dream Basketball Classic. He was the Scoring Blitz and 3-Point Champion. He showcased his range in the game, hitting a few from long distance. He is a quick ball handler and moves his feet well on defense. Jackson also played up in the 6th grade division game.
Jackson had a great weekend saying, "I enjoyed every part of the weekends events from taking photos in my personalized uniform to playing in the 4th and 6th grade games. I also liked that I was able to practice passing, dribbling and shooting drills with kids around my age from different states. The highlight of my weekend was winning 1st place in the Scoring Blitz and 3 Point Shootout for grade group. Even though I am always the shortest person on the court those challenges really allowed me to show everyone all of the hard work that I put in practicing shooting everyday. "
Committee leader and CEO of Dream Sports Group, Shannon Riley, says “Jackson is a knock down shooter. He has ice in his veins when the pressure is on. He hits big time shots. He can also distribute the ball and is a good defender. He is a future star of the game and we look forward to seeing him at future events."
