Codie Witmer, a versatile linebacker from Clayton High School in North Carolina, has been selected to participate in the prestigious Dream Football Classic. As a member of the class of 2025, Codie has already achieved remarkable success on and off the field. Standing at 6’1” and weighing 205 pounds, he earned the 2023 NCHSAA State Championship Excellence Award, among several other athletic and academic honors. His leadership extends beyond football, as he has also excelled in varsity wrestling, consistently earning the CHS Athletic Award. Codie is a seven-time recipient of the Superintendents Honor Roll and has demonstrated his dedication to academics and athletics throughout his high school career.
Known for his ability to stop the run and rush the passer, Codie’s impact on the field is undeniable. His hard-hitting style of play, combined with his high football IQ, makes him a dominant force in both zone and man coverage. Codie’s ability to read offensive schemes and make key plays under pressure has made him a leader on his team. His strong work ethic and coachability have earned him recognition as a key contributor to his team’s success, as he continues to push himself to greater heights in both football and wrestling.
At the Dream Football Classic, Codie will have the opportunity to showcase his talents on a nationwide stage, competing against the country’s best high school athletes. With former NFL players and college coaches on hand to offer guidance, Codie is sure to make a lasting impression. His commitment to excellence and leadership will continue to shine as he takes part in this elite event.
