Introducing Dream Football Classic Defensive Lineman Daylon Chapel

Oak Harbor High School’s defensive powerhouse Daylon Chapel, a towering 6'4", 295-pound defensive lineman, has accepted his invitation to the Dream Football Classic. With an impressive athletic history spanning eight years of football, basketball, and track and field, Daylon has shown his versatility and dedication to sports. His physicality and power make him a formidable run-stopper and hard hitter, essential attributes that led to his selection for this prestigious event. Daylon’s commitment on the field is matched by his academics, maintaining a GPA of 3.02, exemplifying his coachability and balanced focus on both sports and academics.


As a player who excels in blocking and controlling the defensive line, Daylon’s strength and skill will make him an invaluable asset at the Dream Football Classic. His intense training and field experience are bound to shine during the weekend, where he will face the nation’s top high school athletes. Daylon's ability to read the offense and stop plays in their tracks has consistently put him in a position of leadership and trust among his teammates.


In the Dream Football Classic, Daylon will have the unique opportunity to learn from former NFL players and college coaches, further honing his skills and football IQ. The Dream Football Classic is not only a platform for showcasing his talents but also a learning experience that will propel him toward his future football goals.


Committee leader and CEO of Dream Sports Group, Shannon Riley, says “the athletes that were selected have exemplified great leadership skills on and off the field, and have stood out as leading performers in each position. 180 student athletes from across the nation will be selected to play. Dream Sports Group congratulates him on this prestigious honor and once in a lifetime opportunity.
