Camren Mowder, a 5’8", 175-pound quarterback from New Plymouth High School, is set to take the reins of his team at the Boise Dream Football Classic. Known for his leadership, high football IQ, and strong arm, Camren has big goals for himself and his team this season. As a rising star in the Class of 2026, he is eager to showcase his abilities and make a statement on the blue turf of Albertsons Stadium.
A Father’s Influence and Lifelong Preparation
Camren’s football journey began with his father, who has been preparing him for the game his entire life. From a young age, his dad instilled in him the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed as a quarterback, shaping Camren into the player and leader he is today.
"I started playing football because of my dad," Camren shares. "He’s been preparing me my whole life."
This foundation has given Camren the confidence and ability to lead his team on the field, and he’s determined to make this season one to remember.
Goals for the Season: Breaking Records and Winning State
Camren has set ambitious personal and team goals for the upcoming season. On a personal level, his main objective is to break the school record for passing yards in a single season, a testament to his strong arm and accuracy as a passer.
"My personal goal is to break the school record for passing yards in a season," Camren says.
For the team, the goal is clear: win a state championship. "As a team, we just want to win state any way possible," he adds.
A Teachable Player in the Classroom
Camren’s teachers describe him as highly teachable, a quality that has served him well both on the field and in the classroom. His willingness to learn and adapt has been a key factor in his success as a student-athlete.
"My teachers would say I am extremely teachable," Camren notes. This quality has helped him continually improve as a quarterback, where he’s always eager to learn new techniques and strategies.
Excitement for the Boise Dream Football Classic
Camren is thrilled about the opportunity to play at Albertsons Stadium, but this game holds even more significance for him—it will be his first time playing on turf, making the experience even more special.
"Not only will it be my first time playing on the blue, but it will be my first time playing a game on turf," Camren says with excitement. "I am very excited."
With his strong arm, leadership, and ambition, Camren Mowder is ready to lead New Plymouth at the Boise Dream Football Classic and make his mark on the game.
