Standing at 5'9" and 205 pounds, Brennen Yamane is a powerhouse running back with a remarkable journey through football. From playing in 2nd grade to winning a National Championship with the prestigious IMG Academy, Brennen has consistently showcased his high football IQ, lateral quickness, and vision on the field. His passion for the game and dedication to improving his craft have set him apart as a rising star in the Class of 2026.
From Local Star to National Champion Brennen’s football career began in 2nd grade, where he discovered his love for the sport’s physicality and strategy. By 9th grade, he was recognized as one of Alabama’s top 12 freshmen players, catching the attention of IMG Academy. Recruited by Mike Sellers, a 10-year NFL veteran, Brennen joined the IMG National Football Team for his sophomore year, where he contributed to the team’s National High School Football Championship win. Playing alongside elite talent and learning under NFL-caliber coaches was a transformative experience for Brennen, culminating in earning a championship ring.
After his time at IMG, Brennen returned home to Bayside Academy to be with his family and help his high school team achieve their goals. His mission now is clear: to use the skills and knowledge he gained at IMG to lead Bayside Academy to an Alabama State Championship.
Leadership On and Off the Field Brennen’s impact extends beyond his athletic abilities. At both IMG and Bayside, he was selected as a school ambassador, representing his institutions at community events and fundraisers. Whether assisting with the Special Olympics at IMG or engaging with local organizations in Alabama, Brennen has proven himself as a role model and leader.
With a 4.33 GPA, Brennen is equally committed to academic success. Taking on three AP courses and serving on Bayside’s Honor Council, he has demonstrated a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence in all areas of his life.
Goals and Aspirations For the upcoming season, Brennen is focused on helping Bayside Academy win the Alabama State Championship. Personally, he aims to continue improving his game while inspiring and elevating his teammates. Long-term, Brennen’s dream is to attend a top academic institution and play college football, following in the footsteps of his idols Saquon Barkley and Marshawn Lynch.
